Laura and Dan had an intimate wedding in the Seaport District in Boston with only their immediate family planned even before the pandemic. They wanted to focus on their family and their love for each other, and intimate weddings are a great way to do that. Laura and Dan are such a relaxed couple, and their wedding was the same!
Laura and Dan held their ceremony in a beautiful church within view of the harbor. Laura walked down the aisle holding flowers she picked up at Whole Food and wearing sneakers. Both her dad and her grandfather walked her down the aisle, and her niece was the flower girl. After the ceremony, we walked around the Seaport District for their couple portraits. We actually ended up running into a nearby hotel lobby because we got caught in a pop-up thunderstorm. We had to wait out the rain before we could head to their reception dinner.
Their reception dinner was held at Row 34, a super cool, industrial-style restaurant. Being in the Seaport District, seafood is obviously their specialty. The food looked amazing, and they also have a great craft beer and wine selection. The couple’s dinner was laid back and full of laughter. It was all about Laura and Dan and their love for each other.
Personally, I’m fully aboard the intimate wedding train. It’s worth considering an intimate wedding even as things are going back to normal and larger weddings are able to happen again. They’re less stress, have a less rigid timeline, and allow you to focus on your family and friends. You can just enjoy spending time with those you love most.
Intimate weddings are just so much fun, and they give you time to get some truly beautiful shots. With Laura and Dan, we were really able to walk around the Seaport District in Boston and take some great shots of them. I’d love to help you document all of those amazing memories of your big day too. Reach out me, so we can set something up!
