The Making of a Bridgerton Inspired Wedding

In today’s post, I’m going to share with you this Bridgerton Inspired/ Regency Era styled session designed and created by Yvonne and her team at Unique Melody Events & Design. When she reached out to ask me to be the lead photographer for this event, I jumped at the chance. The team of vendors is the BEST of the best at their craft and it was incredible to work alongside them.

If you are planning your wedding and have caught the Bridgerton love bug, read ahead to be inspired and get connected to an incredible group of vendors who can make your vision come to life.

Finding The Perfect Venue

In creating a Bridgerton inspired wedding, you need to find a venue that can bring the regency era to life in a modern and fresh way. Oakholm Farm Estate is just such a place. In addition to its waterfront views and rolling hills, the Big House transformed into a space that felt unique and different. Most importantly, it maintained the class and charm of a countryside estate.

It’s all in the details

When deciding how to bring your Bridgerton inspired wedding to life, the first thing you want to do is pay attention to the details. Or, better yet, bring in an expert to help pull all those details together for you! Yvonne and her team from Unique Melody Events are the ones you want by your side on your wedding day.

Wedding planners LOVE the details and they have the inside scoop on the best places to find whatever it is you are looking for. Event Planners first, know how to pull everything together to look good, but second, also set the tone and feel for your day as a whole. They are there to keep you on schedule and deal with any behind-the-scenes issues that might come up.

The stationary for this event was designed and created by Whisker Kisses Designs, calligraphy was done by Rose Bud Calligraphy.

The dress, the suit and the hair

Finding the perfect dress is likely near the top of the list of “to-do’s” for a bride. Choosing a bridal boutique that knows how to help you choose a dress to make you feel fabulous is a must. Make sure to have an idea of what you’re looking for, but be open to suggestions. For our shoot, we wanted a dress with delicate details, a classic style and just a little bit of drama and movement. This stunning Monica Loretti gown from Beautiful Bride Boutique had everything we were looking for.

Your hair and make-up need to compliment your dress and showcase your jewelry. Our bride’s hair and make-up was done by Tabitha at Timeless Beauty LLC. The subtle yet beautiful make-up enhanced our bride’s naturally gorgeous features. Evelyn’s hair suited her dress perfectly and her stunning up-do allowed her delicate hairpiece to be on display.

The days of traditional tuxes have passed and we are officially ushering in an era of color and texture for the men and I am here for it! This handsome red velvet jacket with black pants and shoes from The Black Tux is the epitome of style and class.

The Story of Your Day

Choosing someone to capture your wedding day is an important decision. Once your wedding day has ended and the last guest has left, the pictures are all that remain. They are the way you can re-visit the most incredible day of your life over and over again. You want to make sure to choose a photographer that you feel comfortable with. You spend a lot of time on your wedding day with your photographer. In order for me to be able to do my job and tell the story of your day authentically, we need to feel comfortable with each other.

It is always my goal to capture the moments that will transport you back to a moment in time to allow you to feel the emotions of the day. I use my work to tell the story of your love. As the lead photographer for this session, Evelyn and Rich’s connection and love for one another shone from the moment I met them. Their laughter, glances from across the room, whispers in Spanish to one another, it was beautiful to witness.

Table Setting & Cake Inspired by Bridgerton

No wedding is complete without a reception. This stunning tablescape was created with rentals from Borrowed Blu and designed by Unique Melody Events. Each place setting at the table is slightly different but the design elements bring everything together. The plate designs and colors, the floral arrangement by American Stems, the charcuterie board by Busy Bee Goodies, with the calligraphy on the place cards by Rose Bud Calligraphy; it resulted in a sophisticated and timeless dinner environment. The elegant wedding cake (which tasted incredible!!) was baked and decorated by Casey Lynn Cakes.
